Whether stopping in for lunch or to enjoy a dinner with friends, Bitter Creek Brewing offers a variety of tasty dishes and drinks, with an open, lively atmosphere. Large windows and open skylights make the dining atmosphere a cheerful place, despite its name.
Bitter Creek Food Items
From appetizers to desserts, the menu covers all aspects of a pubhouse meal. Starters include chicken wings or sesame fried calamari. Mighty salads are provided for those looking for low-carb menu items. Do take note that these salads are very large! Try the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad or Oriental Chicken Salad. The brew pub green salad is also a good choice for the light appetite.
Lunch guests enjoy a wide variety of sandwiches, soup, pizza, pasta and salad options. Try the Panini of the Day, an Italian-style grilled sandwich served hot off the press! Other classic sandwich options include the patty melt, reuben, chicken club or step it up a notch to a sourdough steak melt.
Dinner entrees at Bitter Creek include steak options, halibut fish n' chips, shrimp dishes, pizza, pasta or more. The Beer-Battered Shrimp dish is always a favorite. Guests can order Cajun Porkchops, a spicy version of an old classic dinner dish.
Extensive Burger Menu Options
At Bitter Creek Brewing, burgers have a menu of their own. The Burger Mania menu offers nearly 20 burger options, with names such as The Big Kahuna to The Dude Ranch or Mafia Madness. These burger options consist of unique toppings, from extra garlic to guacamole or Cajun creations. The Skinny Burger is a meatless option available on this extensive menu.
Bitter Creek Beers
Established in 1997, Bitter Creek Brewing serves award-winning microbrew beers, offering a wide variety of beer styles. A sampler of Bitter Creek beers includes the following:
- A Beer Named Bob - a smoky stout, perhaps the most famous of the Bitter Creek brews
- Mustang Pale Ale - malty sweet and then bitter
- Wee Bastard - a Scottish-style ale
- Boars Tusk - light and refreshing
- Red Desert Ale - hoppy, floral, sweet and red in color
- Sweetwater Wheat - great beer for the warm weather of summer
- Coal Porter - a dark, chocolaty flavored porter
Watch for brewmaster specials or guest beers, which are not always available. Another local favorite is Old Faithful Ale from Jackson, a smooth, light summer beer. For a non-alcoholic beverage option, Bitter Creek brews its own root beer.
Bitter Creek Brewing Location
Located in Historic Downtown Rock Springs, the pub sits in close proximity to many local businesses and points of interest for visitors. The Rock Springs Historic Museum is a great place to learn about Rock Springs' history. During the summer, visitors enjoy the self-guided Historic Downtown Walking Tour, including close to 50 interesting buildings or homes. Guides are available at the Rock Springs Historic Museum.
